Job description

Hogsalt is delighted to offer a Summer Videography Internship Experience for someone pursuing a career in a related field. Spend the summer learning exactly how we do what we do and come out the other side ready for anything.

Hogsalt is looking for people with drive, ambition, and that special sensibility to take on 11 hard-charging weeks that will put you hands-on with the Hogsalt Marketing Department and their current projects and initiatives. Hogsalt does things a little differently, and our Internship program is no exception. If you’re the kind of person who’s passionate about learning and is up to the challenge, this is a singular opportunity.

Hogsalt’s Videography Internship Experience -- May 30th-August 14th, 2024 -- A summer you’ll never forget.

What to Expect – Before you throw your hat in the ring, be sure this is right for you.  Take a look in the mirror.  If you’re Hogsalt intern material, you’ll see someone who—

  • Has a high drive to succeed.

  • Communicates efficiently and clearly in verbal, written and creative mediums.

  • Is highly accountable and has attention to detail as an active team member of the Marketing team

  • Represents the Marketing team in a friendly, relatable, and caring manner.

  • Effectively multitasks in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

  • Has strong time and project management skills as well as organizational skills.

  • Has experience with photography, camera operation, lighting setup, audio recording, and video editing.

  • Is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (PremierPro, After Effects).

  • Is a junior or senior majoring in Film Production, Graphic Design, or a related field.

What You’ll Do –

  • Put in the Time: Attend weekly workshops hosted by the Recruiting, Training, & Development Team to learn about and evolve your personal Leadership Style.

  • Pool Your Strengths: Engage with Hogsalt Interns from different departments to collaborate on a Group Project which you will present to the Hogsalt Executive Team.

  • Work Shoulder to Shoulder: Partner with the Marketing team to continuously improve the department.  You will assist with a variety of video projects using Adobe Creative Suite including designing, updating and producing branded digital and video collateral for different Hogsalt restaurants.

  • Think Like a Strategist: Provide pivotal support to the Marketing Team by aligning yourself with the company’s strategies and overall business needs and goals.

  • Reach Across the Aisle: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to other Marketing + Design objectives (i.e. photoshoots, social media content, web updates, etc).

  • Think Like a Pragmatist: Engage in weekly team meetings by inputting realistic and pertinent ideas and strategies with actionable results.

  • Be Open Minded: Learn from mentors at peer and leadership levels.

  • Talk to the Boss: Connect with the Director of Marketing every week to discuss project management and goals.

Hogsalt is not your typical restaurant group.  Guests know us for transportive spaces and sumptuous fare, but what we are most proud of is the generosity we extend to our teams.  Our service team reimagines hospitality with energy and a sense of fun.  Our culinary team makes classic dishes so expertly that you'll remember why they became classics.  No matter which of our 20+ restaurants you visit, you'll see we're an organization that makes people — our guests and ourselves — happy.
